Charles J. Gleason, Sr., 77, died peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

The Savannah native was born on March 15, 1945 to the late Edward and Eulalia Rourke Gleason.

Charles attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and was a graduate of Benedictine Military School and the University of Georgia. He heroically served in the U.S. Navy and was a master carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local 256. 

Surviving is a son, Charles J. Gleason, Jr. of Boca Raton, FL; granddaughter, Harper Gleason of Boca Raton; and a grandson, Joseph Gleason of Savannah. Charles was preceded in death by his eldest son, Edward J. Gleason.

A private family service is being planned.
